1. How can you effectively manage (or expect them to manage) your mortgage account when "DITECH" claims they are "going through a company wide computer conversion"...and for the last 3 weeks NO information (other than you have a mortgage) is available and NO ONE other than general "customer service" reps, are available to speak with regarding ANYTHING!

2.

When they were Greentree (same company, different name), I was actual put into pre-foreclosure (when someone comes out and scouts your home, takes pictures, etc.) because (OMG!) I was actually making my payments too soon (how could I?). And yet every month my check would be cashed and when the next statement arrived, it made no mention of this "early payment". It was only when this scout appeared at my door that I realized something was wrong and after 10-12 transfers, I finally got to speak with someone with brains. She apologized and said that the foreclosure dept and the credit of payments dept are totally seperate and don't speak.

The foreclosure dept only gets a report generated by their office and because (technically) my payment was being received every month prior to the due date (although it wasn't sent out until I got their statement), it was being credited as a principal payment and when the actual payment was due-"they" considered me delinquent. Funny though how on almost a year's worth of statements, no mention of this was made. In fact, my statement looked as it always had- never once did it say I was delinquent. And because I always sent out my next payment when I received their statement, it seemed to me (because they actually said, don't send your payment as soon as you receive your statement, wait awhile) that they actually wanted people to take a chance at perhaps being late, and maybe incurring fees that they could then collect and if enough of late fees had built up, I'm assuming they could then rightfully foreclose.

Lucky for me I saved all my documentation and as soon as I reached a person with a brain (not easy), everything was cleared up. Unfortunately, I could do nothing when BofA sold my loan to this "company", and am still powerless.

Changing the name was a publicity stunt. This is the worst ranked mortgage services company and it lives up to its reputation.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Ditech Cons: Ability to turn home buying into a nightmare.
