Ditech making big money off insurance claims that sitting on the checks

Ms. Morgan, In re our discussion regarding Ditech documentation process on my flood loss: 1. Yes UNDER PROTEST I am providing them contractor lisence copies, conditional release of liens, contracts and proof of loss from fema as per their requirements just like this was a half million dollar commercial project. They are also micromanaging this process to the point that they are writing separate checks to contractors. We should also get an engineer and an architect involved to complicate the bureaucratic process even further. 2. I have copies of Fannie Mae documents that mortgage companies are required to fill out for an insurance loss. None of the above documents are required. Therefore, I am simply jumping thru Ditech policy & procedure hoops that justify their bureaucracy. Its simply easier than fighting their obstruction in court. 3. I have talked to my neighbors who also suffered flood losses. None of their mortgage companies required more than a proof of loss and bids from repair companies. So, your statement that this procedure is “industry standard” doesnt hold up. 4. As I told you, I have been a lisenced contractor for 45 years. I have never had to do such onerous documentation for such a relatively minor set of repairs and sum of money. We are not building nuclear submarines. These are minor change outs & repairs that can be done in two weeks. I have been thru 4 sets of bureacrats in 5 months simply trying to get the insurance check, for insurance I pay for, to do two weeks of repairs to my home. 5. Maybe if the stars align, and the fairy godmother smiles down upon me, all the bureaucrats will justify their existence, and sign off on this so I can get the insurance money & do the repairs to be back in my home, and out from under the financial burden off making house payments on a house I cant live in, by Christmas. 6. In the meantime, it is my fervent wish that every desk warming obstructive bureaucrat that had anything to do with this insurance claim have their house burn or flood so they can have the experience of going thru the same time & money consuming process. If I don’t receive my check within 24 hours my lawyer will be calling you today to confirm that I am going to sue you and will see you for Unlawfully holding phones stressed and anything else I can come up with I’m filing papers at noon today I’ve already contacted s Thomas Marano

We have been out of our house for 6 mo do to a flood and FEMA has sent our checks to us but Ditech will not send our check that they’re holding it and every time we talk to somebody they just send it to somebody else so I’m contacting my lawyer !!! I meet with him today at noon and I expect to be paid back for all my cost of living for being out of my home and all the money lost !!!!

Insurance claims fail

My house flooded June 3, its Oct 10 and I havent started repairs because I cant get my ins check from Ditech bureaucracy. Sent check, letter explaining circumstance, proof of loss, and contractor bids. They waited a week to call & tell me they wont process without copies of contractor lisences. I told them they had the bids on contractor letterhead, call the contractors. Response was,” thats not how we do it here”. Fema- no help Fannie Mae- no help Consumer Finance- no help Apparently, mortgage companies can sit on your check and make you jump thru hoops as much as they like with no regulation or oversight. Its my fervent hope that customer service reps house floods or burns and they get the same customer service experience theyre giving me.

My home owners insurance and for some strange reason I have 2 accounts with ditech. one with a zero balance the other with a balance. why?

how can i have 2 accounts with ditech when I've only ever had one. the one i was not aware of has a zero balance. what the *** is going on? i wouldnt be surprised if the zero balance is correct.

Because you might refinanced before and they closed your old account number and gave you a new one. All loans even if were clsoed or transferred over remains in the system.

My home owners insurance

my ins company sent my claim check straight to ditech. ditech sent it to us to endorse. ditech would not endorse before we did. then the stupid nonsense began. our lose was 6.9.2019. we have not recieved our money yet. i live with a gaping hole in my ceiling. where are my rights? i guess the cockroaches coming in through the hole into my home have more rights than me.

DITECH MORTGAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER ANGELICA IS THE WORST AT HELPING THE CONSUMER. CALLED YESTERDAY AND WAS PROMISED THAT MY ISSUE WOULD BE ESCALATED....TODAY NOT SO MUCH. Terrible payment options

BOFA transferred my mortgage to GreenTree/Ditech. BOFA also allowed a 1/4 payment every Friday. These payment terms were great, my mortgage was always paid timely and I didn’t have to fork over a large chunk on the first. You had to be one month ahead to enroll but it was worth it. It gave us the opportunity to pay an extra 200. every Friday amounting to 800. Per month direct to principal. Once transferred to Ditech that weekly payment option was no longer available. I alway thought when a transfer took place, no changes to the original terms could be made. Ditech said it wasn’t part of the terms and too bad, they only accept monthly lump sum payments. If ever given the opportunity to go back to BOFA, we will. That extra shaved 8 years off out mortgage

Received several bills of $0.01, called waited for an hour on hold; finally got a "representative " and was told the loan was paid off. This was in March, got a letter saying the account was paid in full, 4 days later another letter stating that the account was in collection for $1400.00. Called them and talked to a rep, supervisor and a VP; each of them told me that money was owed but the first guy said it was 1900+, the supervisor said 2100 and the VP said 2800 nowhere even close to the amount on the letter. Stay away from these loansahrks.

Horrible company claiming bankruptcy but still going after people

They bought my 2nd mortgage from HSBC after we lost our house to foreclosure. Now after 5 years and 364 days they are trying to collect. They are horrible.
